Advertising
Introduction
It used to be that everything graphic was printed. While branding includes printed letterheads and folders and other devices, it is primarily focused on defining a company's attitude in graphic terms.
Advertising is disseminating that attitude through various media including print.
Collateral is the brochures, catalogs, direct mail and other printed pieces that help solidify that perception.
Look at the solutions opened by mousing over the print categories at left. If they communicate to you, communicate with me:

Before TV, virtually all visual advertising was printed. Television gave us sound and motion and now the web extends the possibilities for visual expression even further. Here’s an ad for a website that was assembled from images on the site.
Brochures–Catalogs
When you think of graphic design, you probably think of printed brochures and catalogs. Here is a brochure produced to encourage businesses to support the Children's Miracle Network telethon which benefits Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Direct Mail Promotion
This direct mail piece focused specifically to nine-one-one operators and supervisors uses deconstructed design to reflect the frenetic pace of their jobs.
While an ad or brochure is something you direct your attention to, a package must fight for attention among many other packages on the shelf. So it’s especially important to communicate the essence of what’s inside.
In this CD co-produced by NARM and Classical Public Radio Network the beginning of a sunrise evokes the promise of young classical music artists.
